Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, email security and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike or Defender.
- Triage and investigate incidents, contain threats, document findings and coordinate remediation with IT.
- Run vulnerability scans with tools such as Tenable, Qualys or Rapid7 and drive patching and remediation to closure.
- Manage identity and access reviews, MFA coverage and privileged access controls.
- Maintain security policies, procedures and awareness training, including phishing simulations.
- Support compliance and audit work for SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA or GDPR by collecting evidence and tracking controls.
- Assess third-party and vendor security questionnaires and risks.
- Tune detection rules and alerts to reduce false positives and catch real threats faster.
- Produce regular security metrics and reports for management.
- Stay current on threat intelligence and advise on emerging risks relevant to the client.

Requirements
- 5+ years in information security, SOC analysis or security operations roles.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GIAC (GCIH or GSEC), CEH or Microsoft SC-200 are expected, with CISSP or CISM an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management platforms.
- Solid knowledge of networking, Windows and Linux, cloud security in Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS, and common attack techniques.
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks and audit evidence collection.
- Familiarity with incident response processes and forensic basics.
- Clear written and spoken English for incident reports, policies and user communications.
- Dependable high-speed internet and backup power, with availability during the client's business hours and for incident escalations.
