Responsibilities
- Source and qualify suppliers for components, raw materials, equipment and services across domestic and international markets.
- Run requests for quotation and tenders, analyse bids on total cost of ownership and recommend awards.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and supply agreements to reduce cost and risk.
- Raise and manage purchase orders in SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or the client's ERP and track delivery against production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality and cost and run corrective actions and reviews.
- Manage inventory levels and reorder points with planning to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Handle import logistics, incoterms, customs documentation and freight quotes for international purchases.
- Maintain supplier master data, contracts and approved vendor lists.
- Identify cost savings and alternative sources and report savings achieved monthly.
- Keep purchasing compliant with quality, ethical sourcing and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- At least 5 years in procurement or strategic sourcing for a manufacturing, engineering or industrial company.
- Proficient in an ERP purchasing module such as SAP MM, Oracle or NetSuite and advanced Excel for spend analysis.
- Proven negotiation results and experience with supply agreements and supplier development.
- Familiar with international trade including incoterms, customs and freight, and with ISO 9001 supplier requirements.
- Fluent English, spoken and written, for negotiating with suppliers and reporting to management.
- Analytical and decisive, with a CIPS or CPSM qualification valued.
- Reliable high-speed internet and backup power at home, available across the client's business day and supplier time zones.
