Responsibilities
- Develop product concepts through research, sketching, mood boards and rapid 3D exploration.
- Model designs in Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or Creo with surfacing suited to the manufacturing process.
- Produce photorealistic renders and presentations in KeyShot or Blender for client and stakeholder reviews.
- Design for injection moulding, sheet metal, die casting and other processes with draft, wall thickness and assembly in mind.
- Prototype using 3D printing, CNC and model making and run user testing.
- Specify colours, materials and finishes with suppliers and produce CMF documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electronics engineers to integrate internals without compromising form.
- Prepare design documentation, technical packages and control drawings for manufacturers.
- Conduct user and market research to inform design decisions and ergonomics.
- Maintain brand design language and consistency across product families.

Requirements
- An industrial or product design degree and at least 5 years designing consumer, medical or industrial products that reached production.
- Expert in Rhino, SolidWorks or Fusion 360 and KeyShot, with strong sketching and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, design for assembly and CMF.
- A portfolio showing concept through production work and the reasoning behind design decisions.
- Clear English for presenting concepts and working with engineers and manufacturers.
- User-focused, curious and able to balance aesthetics with cost and manufacturability.
