Responsibilities
- Design control system architectures including PLC, HMI, SCADA, drives, instrumentation and networks.
- Program PLCs in Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, Schneider or Beckhoff to IEC 61131-3 standards.
- Develop HMI and SCADA applications in WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Ignition or AVEVA.
- Produce functional design specifications, I/O lists and control narratives.
- Design safety systems and perform risk assessments to ISO 13849 or IEC 62061.
- Commission systems on site or from the office, including loop checks, FAT and SAT.
- Integrate machines with MES, ERP and data historians using OPC UA, MQTT or SQL.
- Troubleshoot control faults and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
- Maintain program backups, version control and documentation for all installed systems.
- Support electrical designers with panel layouts and control schematics.

Requirements
- An electrical, mechatronics or control engineering degree and at least 5 years of PLC and SCADA experience in manufacturing or process industries.
- Expert in Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell Studio 5000, with HMI or SCADA platforms such as WinCC, FactoryTalk or Ignition.
- Experience with industrial networks such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP and Modbus, and with drives and instrumentation.
- Familiar with functional safety standards and machine safety design.
- Clear English for specifications, commissioning reports and phone or screen-share support with site technicians.
- Structured programmer who documents and tests thoroughly.
- Fast, stable internet and backup power at home for commissioning and support sessions during the client's hours.
