Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components, assemblies and systems in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or NX.
- Perform engineering calculations and FEA or CFD analysis using ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar.
- Produce manufacturing drawings with GD&T to ASME Y14.5 or ISO standards.
- Design HVAC, piping or plant systems where the client's business requires it, using Revit MEP or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Select materials, bearings, motors, pumps and standard components from supplier catalogues.
- Prepare design reports, specifications and datasheets for the client's approving engineer.
- Support prototyping, testing and validation with test plans and results analysis.
- Review supplier drawings and quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Apply design for manufacture and assembly principles to reduce cost and complexity.
- Maintain CAD standards, part libraries and PDM workflows.

Requirements
- A mechanical engineering degree with a Philippine PRC licence and 5 or more years of design experience in products, machinery or building services.
- Expert in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or NX, and experienced with ANSYS or an equivalent analysis tool.
- Solid grounding in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with ASME, ISO or ASHRAE standards as relevant, working under the client's licensed engineer where certification is required.
- Clear English for design reports, supplier discussions and design reviews.
- Practical, detail-oriented and able to take a design from concept to production drawings.
- Reliable high-speed internet and backup power at home, a workstation capable of running CAD and simulation, and hours matched to the client's engineering office.
