Responsibilities

- Model and manage cloud costs, producing forecasts and optimisation plans for leadership.
- Design for security and compliance including encryption, identity, network segmentation and audit logging.
- Mentor cloud engineers and DevOps staff and run architecture reviews.
- Present options and trade-offs to executives and business stakeholders in plain language.

Requirements
- 5+ years in cloud engineering or architecture, including at least 2 years leading designs for production systems.
- Professional-level certification such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider and working knowledge of a second.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
- Strong background in networking, security and identity in cloud environments.
- Track record of leading cloud migrations and cost optimisation programmes.
- Polished written and spoken English for architecture documents and executive presentations.
- Stable high-speed internet with backup power, and available during the client's business hours for design sessions.
