Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure resources including virtual machines, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, storage and virtual networks.
- Manage identity and access with Entra ID, conditional access, privileged identity management and role-based access control.
- Define infrastructure as code with Bicep, ARM templates or Terraform and deploy through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Configure networking with virtual networks, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall and private endpoints.
- Implement security and compliance with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Key Vault and Sentinel.
- Monitor with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights, and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Optimise cost with Azure Cost Management, reservations, autoscaling and rightsizing.
- Migrate on-premises workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate and manage hybrid setups with Azure Arc.
- Manage backups and disaster recovery with Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
- Document architecture and standards and support developers and IT teams on Azure best practice.

Requirements
- 5+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering with at least 3 years hands-on with Azure in production.
- Microsoft AZ-104 Azure Administrator is required, with AZ-305, AZ-400 or AZ-500 preferred.
- Strong Entra ID and Microsoft 365 integration knowledge, including hybrid identity with Entra Connect.
- Experience with Bicep, ARM or Terraform and with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Solid Windows Server and Linux administration, networking and security fundamentals.
- PowerShell and Azure CLI scripting for automation.
- Clear written and spoken English for working with IT teams and documenting solutions.
- Reliable high-speed internet with backup power and availability across the client's working day.
