Responsibilities
- Analyse business processes with operations staff, document them step by step and assess suitability for automation.
- Design and build robots in UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism or Power Automate Desktop following the vendor's best practice frameworks.
- Automate work across web applications, desktop software, Excel, email and legacy systems without APIs.
- Add document understanding and OCR with tools such as UiPath Document Understanding or ABBYY to process invoices, forms and PDFs.
- Build robust exception handling, retry logic and logging so robots recover cleanly and report failures.
- Test robots against real data variations and run controlled rollouts with the process owners.
- Manage robots through an orchestrator, schedule runs and monitor queues and performance.
- Maintain process design documents, solution design documents and change logs for every automation.
- Calculate and report hours saved and error reductions for each robot in production.
- Support and enhance existing robots when upstream applications change.

Requirements
- 5+ years in software or process automation, including at least 3 years delivering RPA solutions in production.
- Certified in UiPath (Advanced RPA Developer) or Automation Anywhere, or equivalent Blue Prism or Power Automate credentials.
- Working knowledge of C#, VB.NET or Python for custom activities and integrations.
- Experience with OCR, document understanding and integrating robots with APIs, databases and SAP or other ERPs.
- Strong process analysis skills and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma concepts.
- Clear English, written and spoken, to run process walkthroughs and write design documents.
- Stable high-bandwidth internet and a backup power supply, available during the client's business hours.
